  1. Quick note on the Augurey: according to FBAWTFT its cry doesn’t foretell death, as was once believed, but merely rain. The death thing was a superstition / misconception, much like the rumour that Thestrals are “unlucky”. So there’s no reason to worry unduly for Jacob because of him being seen with the Augurey.
